Cultivating the Culture

The culture I decided to look more into is Tokyo. More of the urban aspect of Tokyo at that, just because the culture that comes from that area is amazingly interesting. Its more modernized than others would actually think and its also one half larger than any other urban area in the world. It is actually the longest running urban area since Londons 100 year run in the 1800’s. It even has a holding but growing population of 1.4 million with that also being a cause for change of the culture. The bright colors and non stop activities is what happen to catch my eye along with the amazing fashion and not just the normal cultural pieces but also the highly anticipated street wear. I can’t wait to get to know way more information on this culture than already gathered seems like there could be way to more than meets the eye.

Practice Makes Perfect

Palm Tree

When working on the palm tree not only did I flip as the practice told to but I also added my own thing, such as using the paint bucket tool to splat some red on the leaves of the tree but also using the filter tool and creating tiles of my picture using the same color as I did on my palm tree leave.

new sunflower

Now with my sunflower, I had to put in a little more work I created a garden on a light pink background but then I continued to add my change. I did the same tile background as my palm tree’s but I also decided to change the how my garden look so I used the adjustment button and inverted all my sunflowers.

Ducky

With my ducky besides duplicating it and make it smaller I used the filter tool once more and changed how both of them looked. For the bigger ducky I used the oil paint filter and turned it up a bit and for my little ducky I used the pixel filter and turned that up ALOT a bit.

Ranch House edit

Last but most certainly not least the hardest ones I probably had to deal with was the ranch house. Using the clone stand and making the wall look as if the coat and hat were never there was a task its self but I got it. After that I added my own and kinda used the pixel filter but more of my own spin to it and I also changed the tones of grey on the wall using the pattern tool.

Out and About with Open Eyes

Walking around VCU its almost always a guarantee that you will find something new or see something cool or different that might amuse you. Being here and going down the street just being observant of everything you really just get to see multiple sites that stand out. Everyone here is different in there own way, no two people are the same not even a pair a twins. You see many different looks like the one stated on my friend Annie, she is wearing a black and white blouse with a pair of red thick heel boots and a cool ripped up pair of jeans something that others may not like so much but to her is top 10. Even looking from a bedroom window you find places that are eye catching, from my window I see the forever non-finshed Monroe Park, its cool to watch it change more and more slowly …. really slowly everyday. We see the major changes but not always the big ones and over time watching a place change and become better is pretty interesting. Although living in Richmond people may look over the historic artifact that is offered the columns and the the structures of the building itself speaks history and as over looked as it is without it we’d be looking at a very boring city. It doesn’t even stop there you can’t forget that texture is one of the many amazing low-key inputs, from the mailroom in GRC to the bricks on the Altria Theatre or maybe even one of your favorite pillows, its just that simple. Everything around makes you open your eyes and watch, at home its quiet and not much of a city aspect but thats where I feel I fit in the most and thats why I love it here from the people, places, and even things all around make all the observations even more amazing.

My “Brand”

For my brand I’ve gladly chosen H&M for multiple reasons. I love that within the brand all styles vary from contemporary to street wear just by a snap of two fingers. All the pieces are always well put together down from the stitching to the type of fabric they use on each article of clothing. I enjoy the fact that H&M doesn’t stop with just there, they have every accessory you could think of from shoes, to purses, to jewelry, and even make up. This brand comes with many different styles that fit for all and thats one of the many reason I chose this brand as MY brand. Having freedom when dealing with a brand as such is a fashion major’s dream come true and with H&M thats exactly what you have freedom and … ABSOLUTELY NO LIMITATIONS!

10 Shades of Blue

With the color blue comes comfort, a sense of warmth and maybe even for some it feels like home. Blue has always been one of my favorite colors from dark to even the lightest shade you can find. When it comes down to this color you can describe in many different ways from sadness, to dazzling, brilliant, royal and sometimes even luminous.
